Dhaka Central University (DCU) is a public federal university in Dhaka, Bangladesh — the 57th public and 5th Autonomous university in the country. Formally established on 8 February 2026, DCU unites seven historic government colleges: Dhaka College, Eden Mohila College, Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College, Kabi Nazrul Government College, Begum Badrunnesa Government Girls College, Government Bangla College, and Government Titumir College — collectively serving 200,000+ students and 1,000+ teachers.
